On March 27, the Codigo DH team held its first informative workshop, “Introduction to Human Rights,” in Pesquera High School #51 in the port of Salina Cruz, Oaxaca.
This is part of our new project to prevent violence in youth and raise awareness about this issue. Our objectives include identifying forms of violence that high school students face and offering tools to prevent this violence. The project has a special focus on gender, addiction, and torture and incorporates the participation of teachers, parents, and students.
The Cogido DH team engaged the entire teaching staff through various activities and materials to raise awareness about the importance of human rights, as well as key instruments and tools related to the rights of children and teenagers.
This is the first of several activities aimed at strengthening the basic knowledge of teaching staff about human rights, including the importance and relevance in their educational work.
